Car-free campsite 4*Make yourself at home
Leave city life behind! If you are looking for peace of mind and tranquility, this is the place to be.
You arrive, park your car in the car park, and that’s it. Here, the paths belong to the children, the bikes, the carts for your luggage, and the silence. No engines, no pollution, no slamming doors – just nature and time slowing down.
At Le Village du Port, slow tourism isn’t just a concept — it’s the way we’ve lived for six generations on the banks of the Dordogne. Savouring the present, watching the morning mist rise over the river, letting the days unfold to the rhythm of the sun.
(5G and WiFi are available if you need them — but you’ll see, we manage perfectly well without them.)
Eco-friendly campsite 4*A breath of fresh air
A committed eco-campsite 4* situated within a UNESCO and Natura 2000 reserve: the environment is at the very heart of this place.
The Dordogne Valley is designated a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. This is a responsibility we have always taken seriously. Replanting heritage tree varieties, waste sorting, the circular economy, locally sourced produce, car-free camping… Every action counts in preserving this exceptional site, which we are privileged to call home and to share with you.
Swimming pools and the river dordognewhere to cool down
The River Dordogne flows past the estate for 300 metres — with direct access from the campsite for a dip in the river, a canoe trip, or simply wading in the water and fishing at sunset. On the estate, two swimming pools with separate paddling pools delight young and old alike, open from Easter to October. The main pools are bathed in sunshine all day long. A water paradise just a stone’s throw from your accommodation.
A wonderful invitation to share some magical moments with your children!
