The Finnish sauna is an ancestral practice, great for both body and mind.
Purifying and relaxing, it strengthens your natural defenses, preventing stress and disease while energising your body.
Lying comfortably in a dim-lit room, enjoy the smell and heat from the volcanic stones.
As the steam rises, your body sweats and breathes while all your senses are awake to enjoy this revitalising moment.

The benefits of a sauna on our health and well-being
A sauna relieves muscular pain, rheumatism and eliminates toxins
When in contact with the heat, the dilated vessels bring more oxygen to the joints and promote the elimination of toxins in the body. The heat also relaxes muscular tensions.
The sauna speeds up recovery time after physical effort and increases physical performance
Sweating removes toxins and increases blood flow to tired and tense muscles, thus increasing recovery time and relaxation.
Regular sauna sessions increase tolerance to heat, which in turn significantly improves sports performance, maintaining high energy levels over a long period of time.
A sauna for radiant skin and hair
Under the effect of the heat, the pores of the skin dilate, eliminating toxins and dead skin through perspiration. The skin becomes softer and more supple.

A sauna is a moment of well-being
The heat releases endorphins that help with sleep and relaxation.
The sauna improves both physical and psychological well-being. A moment where you can truly let go, with countless health benefits.
The use of the sauna is an additional service that requires prior booking directly at reception. Please note that it takes 40 min to reach the required temperature.
Please read the instructions below prior to booking:
- Do not drink alcohol beforehand as it increases arrhythmia and low blood pressure
- Wait 30 minutes after intense physical effort
- Stay in the cabin for 15 to 20 minutes maximum. Then take a cool shower followed by 15 minutes of rest. Repeat the cycle no more than 3 times.
- Take a cool shower but beware of showers that are too cold as they can cause cardiovascular difficulties.
- Drink 2 to 4 glasses of water or herbal tea to rehydrate your body.
- If you feel unwell, leave the sauna immediately.
- Never fall asleep inside a sauna cabin

The use of the sauna is the sole responsibility of the customer. The Village du Port campsite cannot be held responsible in case of medical problems.
The use of sauna facilities does not present any risk to adults in good health except for :
- Pregnant women
- People with skin problems or severe reactions to sunlight
- People with a medical history of heart disease, high/low blood pressure, cardiovascular problems or diabetes, fever, varicose veins, inflammatory diseases.
- Children under 16 years of age
Guidelines and advice for a sauna session
1st session : 12 mn
Remove all jewelry. Place the towel on the bench and sit or lie down.
The shower allows the body temperature to decrease – Dry yourself.
Recovery time : 10 mn
Rehydrate yourself: water and herbal tea are at your disposal.
2nd session : 12 mn
With the second session, sweating starts immediately, releasing and eliminating toxins.
Recovery time : 10 mn
At this stage you start enjoying the benefits of the treatment as your body releases endorphins.
Don’t forget to rehydrate your body with fluids (water or herbal tea).
3rd session : 12 mn
This might not be necessary. Just listen to your body, it will tell you when it is time for the treatment to end.
You are now relaxed and refreshed.
The sauna requires 40 minutes of heating time before usage.
Bath water is changed for each client. Please allow cleaning and maintenance time between each person.
