Why am I choosing the village du port ?
For a holiday surrounded by nature and full of freedom, the village by the port is the ideal choice.
Imagine waking up under the canvas to the sound of birdsong, enjoying breakfast with a view of the countryside or the river before a refreshing dip in the pool or the River Dordogne.
Whether you bring your own equipment or choose a canvas rental or traditional cottage, you’ll enjoy a unique experience in the heart of our magnificent Dordogne valley. The Art of Nature Camping is tailored to your preferences
Our campsite has very few rental properties, prioritising pitches instead.
Tents, caravans, canvas and timber accommodation, and traditional houses all blend together in a shared space. Here, you’ll meet your neighbours – the local residents – and our family, and rediscover the simple joys of camping.
Ideal for seasoned campers, families, and those seeking connection and shared experiences.
The village by the port is also a haven for water lovers:
The river with its pebble beach and fishing spots, the two swimming pools, the jacuzzi… Not to mention the wellness area equipped with a massage room, sauna and spa (at extra cost)
Fancy a canoe trip? That’s also possible from the campsite – this is where you can set off.
If you prefer a walk in the forest: there are marked trails starting from the campsite (hiking and running) – so many activities that are free and rejuvenating…
Of course, in the Dordogne Valley, we mustn’t forget the medieval past; that’s why the port village is 12 km from Rocamadour and there are fewer than 14 villages listed as ‘the most beautiful villages in France’ within a 30-minute drive.
The caves? Lacave 5 km, Padirac 18 km…
